9/17 - How to make new friends with similar interests - Live Q&A

Life has a way of making us start over every few years.  Relationships change, you have kids, your friends have kids, kids leave the house, move to a new city, start a new job… and even just wanting to change the routine you’ve been stuck in for awhile now.

But how do make you new friends who actually want to do the same things you do?  It seems to get harder with each passing day.

That’s where we can help!

Whether you enjoy urban hikes or backcountry treks, it’s important to know where you’re going, what to wear, and what supplies you’ll need to take with you. Believe it or not, there’s more to hiking than just owning a good pair of boots, and we’d love to share our knowledge with you!

Join us in person, or check us out online via our Facebook LIVE event on the BCO Facebook page ( Both events run simultaneously, and you can join the Q&A online or in person.

If you do happen to drop in, you have the chance to win some very cool giveaways compliments of Whole Earth Provision. The giveaway will be held at the end of the presentation.

9/21 - BCO & HTXO present A Walk in the Woods Aka Hiking Houston

Join us for an hour and a half, quick-paced hike through some of the lesser-known (and more adventuresome) trails our park has to offer. Wear tennis shoes or hiking boots, as it’s easy to bang a toe on a tree root. You’ll be shocked at some of the "elevation" in the park that you wouldn’t expect from just driving by. Remember to bring water as there are no water fountains along the trails.

9/21 - Brunch after the Hike

Let’s face it. When you go on a hike and you don’t really know anyone, you tend to just talk to the person who’s walking next to you.  And while we try to mix things up on the hike, there’s no better way to get know people than over a little food and drinks! :D So whether you went on the hike or not, join us for Lunch and drinks at Canyon Creek!? Dogs are allowed on the patio now!!

Great good and drinks.

9/22 - Little Library Bike Ride with BCO & HTXO

Have you seen those little libraries popping up all over town?  It’s such a cool concept that we thought it would be fun to bike ride to a few and add some books!

Bring a book to donate to the libraries.  The book doesn’t have to be new so you can hit up any local used book store or pick something off your ‘dusty’ book shelf. :D  We’ll also do a fun little game to see if any else brought the same book as you.

NOTE: If we end up having more books than we can fill libraries, BCO will drive around town and fill the rest of the libraries with the remaining books!
