Climb a Colorado 14er -

Add on to the Colorado Backpacking Trip

If you want to climb a Colorado 14er, join BCO for this great event. This will be my first (or maybe second) and I hope not last 14er. If you are in Colorado for the backpacking event, you can add this on to your trip.

I am currently deciding between 3 climbs. I'll post more information once I decide. This will not be a technical climb. No special gear or skills are necessary. The 14ers I'm looking at all have trails to the top which require hiking and some scrambling.

This is a difficult trip. You must be in very good condition and have hiked at altitude before.

Aug 25 will be a rest and preparation day. Anyone from the backpacking trip that is not climbing the 14er will fly home.

Aug 26 we will drive to the mountain of our choice and set up base camp.

Aug 27 . We will camp out close to the peak of our choice and head out very early in the morning. We need to make the summit and be back down to at least tree line by 1pm. We will head back to the cabins to pack and have a last dinner together.

Aug 28 everyone will fly home. Make flights for 1 pm or later.
