Wildlife Hike

The hike will begin promptly at 4:45.  We’ll be hiking along Buffalo Bayou.  On the way out, we’ll hike the dirt path along the Bayou.  On the return trip we’ll take the paved path through the woods. Total distance is 3 miles. The pace will be approximately 4 miles per hour (this is a fairly fast pace).  So, the hike should take a little less than hour depending on how often we stop to observe the wildlife we encounter. 

We’re likely to see a variety including deer, squirrels, rabbits, alligators, several species of turtles, wading birds, raptors and migrants. I even saw a Pot-bellied Pig one afternoon!
