Walk the Trails

at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

Drive less than one mile west of Memorial Park to reach a stunning 155-acre nature sanctuary tucked right into the heart of the fourth largest city in America. Meander along the five miles of scenic trails under towering sycamore, oak, and pine trees, and then keep an eye out for turtles and fish as you wander through a shallow wetland. With free admission and much to see, you could spend a whole day here.

I will bring my Nature Journal as well and try to capture the diversity of Flora and Fauna.

Paid parking at the Woodway and 610 Parking Loops since February 1, 2019. Parking fees will be $1 per hour or $5 for the whole day, plus a small transaction fee, and can be paid via credit card at the parking meters or through the ParkHouston app, available for Apple or Android devices.
