West Side

Terry Hershey Anthills Training Hike

Approximately 5 miles total out and back between Dairy Ashford and Wilcrest on mostly shaded trails. It will take about 2 hours.

This is great for hikers looking to train or just stay in shape. We will be sharing the trail with runners and mountain bikers so it is best to keep the group small. We have trail choices with plenty of up and down to vary our workout.

Note:

- There are no restrooms on the trail or in the parking lot but there are gas and convenience stores nearby.

- If it rains or is too muddy, I will need to cancel. Check the calendar before you head out.

Wear runners, trail runners, or hiking boots. It is better to have your hands free so please bring a back, waist or shoulder water carrier and at least 1 liter water.

Other items to bring:

  • Hat

  • Sunglasses

  • Bug Spray

  • Sunscreen

  • Trekking pole(s)

  • Snack

  • Cooling towel

  • Towel, a fresh shirt, and change of shoes for after
